Etawah (Uttar Pradesh), February 19 Around 13 turtles, belonging to an endangered species, have been found dead in the Sarsai Nawar lake of Etawah district, which was declared a Ramsar site last year.

Environmentalists hailed the Union government’s decision of adding Sarsai Nawar wetland in Etawah and Saman wetland in Mainpuri to the list of wetland sites protected under the Ramsar Convention.
