Matildas superstar Mary Fowler has opened up about her humble beginnings - including sleeping in tents and living in a car - which she believed paved the way to football stardom.

Matildas forward Mary Fowler has revealed she and Nathan Cleary plan on having several children, adopting and living on a farm when their respective sporting careers draw to an end.

Fowler is an early riser. She tends to go to bed at about 8pm and wake up at 5am or 6am, when she opens her planner and starts ticking off her to-do list.
