chelsea and jeff have been in northern california for a couple of years and haven't been to yosemite. dad, mom, jordan, and were all in time so we all decided it would be a good time to go. we spent a fun day in the park hiking around.

wear it wednesday: fall fashion
one of the most exciting things about fall is fall fashion. i can't wait for cardigans and sweaters and fall nail colors. i don't know what the current rule is on white or not after labor day, but i think it's totally fine. white jeans can be just as good in the fall as they are in the summer.
nordstrom jacket|old navy shirt|bella ella jeans|michael kors bag|alex and ani bracelets|jord watch
i'm loving my new jord watch. i've teamed up with them to give one of you a $75 voucher. everyone who enters gets a $20.00 e-gift card excluding the winner.

beauty time tuesday...hair ties
i have the hardest time finding hair ties that actually work for my hair. most of the time they are too tight. i have them everywhere trying to stretch them a little.i finally found these at nordstrom rack, and i love them. they are tight enough to hold my hair, but not so tight they hurt my head. i will definitely be using these from now on. do you have a fave?

weekend happs
after pure barre we went to lunch at the protein house in draper. i don't know how i have missed that place. it was so good. we had the best time at lunch chatting and eating the most delicious healthy food.
we spent the afternoon hanging out-basically talking. laughing, and doing nothing. it was perfect and so much fun.
i went to dinner with brenna saturday night. we talked about a little of this and a little of that and had a great night catching up. after dinner we stopped by mandi's for a "quick visit" turned into multiple hours of laughing and chatting.
i went to church early on sunday and had the rest of the day to get things done. i got so much accomplished. i was so happy.
the weekend was one of those weekends that left me feeling so happy and so grateful for my life and all of the people in it.
how was your weekend? any exciting happs?

wear it wednesday:fall fashion-wish listing
*sponsored by century 21
we all know i really really love summer. i really do like fall-some years more than others. this year i am determined to embrace the changes in the seasons. i am most excited about fall fashion. i already bought a few things for fall/winter, but i am sure there are more things i need.

i remember my first trip to NYC. the shopping was the best. that's where i discovered century 21. they have the best stuff at the best prices. there are quite a few things i want for fall.
a new jacket or two
confession-i have an obsession with buying jackets and coats, but i don't love actually wearing them.
sweaters (really cardigans)
wool|open front
fall purse
choker because they're back in
earrings
and for sure some pants, but who really wants to talk about shopping for jeans?!? i sure don't.
shopping online is fun, but i wish i was walking into a century 21 store right now. maybe i should hop a plane to NYC...
what's on your fall wish list?

random rambling...on being a grown up
remember when you were a kid and all you wanted was to be a grown up?!? and then you became a grown up and sometimes all you want is to be a kid? having someone be in charge of making sure i have clothes to wear and food to eat seems kind of nice some days. however, i do like being in charge of my own self. i can basically do what i want when i want.
one of the best things about being a grown up is having nice things. i have dishes that match and kitchen gadgets for everything. i can spend a little more money on clothes and shoes and makeup and hair. i am in charge of when and what i eat. i go to bed when i want and wake up when i want. i can keep things clean or not.
speaking of nice dishes...
we always had simple correll dishes growing up. they are very functional and do the job. as a grown up, it's fun to have dishes that are a little more grown up. the unique patterns make these a little extra fun. nourish is all about creating beautiful memories around the dinner table-something i really love. maybe being a grown isn't so bad (winky face)
