A first-generation American daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica, Harris’ version of the American dream is both inclusive and positive. She sounds down-to-earth and relatable throughout—at one point she confesses that she ate an entire bag of chips the night Donald Trump was elected. But The Truths We Hold is also interesting in examining our nation’s shared beliefs and fundamental disagreements.

Moving
This audiobook really gives voice to Harris’s motivations, career, and common criticisms thrown at her. Very good for getting an intro into who she is.
She’s a power woman
It is a great book, I can’t wrap my head around how we end up with the current administration in the White House while we have leaders like her. Qualified, educated, morally and ethically fit. Democrat or republican everyone should read before voting.
