Wink Wink Ink 'Jewel'

Hello! Today I have a different Wink Wink Ink image to show you,; it's called 'Jewel' and it comes in black and white and pre-colored and also with several different sentiments. I really like all the different sentiments this image comes with and also the 'Gothic' font.

To make my card, I used the Splitcoaststampers Sketch SC303 and DCWV 'The Cafe Mediterranean Stack' paper. I colored my image with Copic Markers and put Crystal Effects on the jewel to make it shiny. The main image panel, sentiment, and green panel are all mounted up on dimensionals. I put adhesive crystals underneath the sentiment and used a Bazzil Jewel Template to create the crystal swirl. Here is a close up of the image and crystals.
And here is a close up of the sentiment so you can see the unique font better.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Use Anything That You Would Not Normally Use For Papercrafting"

Hello! And welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge! This week's Challenge is quite a Challenge, even I struggled with it, but isn't that what challenges are for: to push us out of our comfort zone and try something different? The challenge this week is to 'Use anything that you would not normally use for paper crafting; such as, something from your kitchen, outside, etc.' Our sponsor this week is Doodle Pantry and they are giving away a $10.00 gift certificate to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Doodle Pantry image 'Pirate Birdie'. Oh, did I fall in love with this image! It comes with several fun sentiments: I chose 'Ahoy Matey' for the outside of the card, and the inside reads 'Hope ye's birthday is overflowin' wit' lott!' Isn't that cute? I really, really struggled coming up with an idea for this challenge. At first I tried feathers from my real, live, molting birds...but that didn't work. They I played with real coins, but they just seemed to big for the image. Then I remembered I had some sea shells beads left over from a sea shell necklace I made in a beading class I took. They already have pre-drilled holes in them, so I threaded them on a piece of hemp, then stuck a large glue dot on the back of each one to hold them in place. I really like the result, but I'm not quite sure how they will hold up when they go through the U.S. Post Office! LOL! I will probably have to wrap the card in bubble wrap before I mail it! All the paper is from DCWV 'All About Boy's Stack'. The ship image was already on the paper, it's not part of the Doodle Pantry Set. I colored the image with Copics, then used a gold glitter pen on the coins, so its very sparkly in real life. Here's a close up so you can see the image, seashells, and coloring better.

Super Simple Masculine Card

I debated whether or not to even show this card on my blog since its SO SIMPLE, but then I thought, why not, just about everyone is looking for easy to make, fast, masculine card ideas. I know I am! I do a card ministry at my church where I have to send out birthday, anniversary, get well, sympathy, encouragement, new baby, etc. cards to members of our congregation, and every single time I have to send a card to a man, I NEVER have one already done in my stash. Why? Because I tend to make cutesy or feminine cards, since that's my style. So, when I looked at my birthday list last week and realized I had to send a card to a grown man and had nothing in my stash, I thought, 'Shoot, I'm going to have to quickly make one before I leave for work'. I literally threw this card together in about 15 minutes. I know, it looks it. LOL! I knew this gentleman loved sports, and played golf, so I chose this image that I bought from the dollar bin at JoAnn's. I barely colored it at all, so that was a huge time saver! The sentiment is computer generated. The paper is DCWV 'All About Guys' Stack. The only embellies I added were a bit of ribbon and some brads. The main image panel is up on dimensionals. See, I told you it was simple! But I'm sure he liked it!

Wink Wink Ink 'Bunny Blessing'

Hello! Today I have another Wink Wink Ink Christmas Image to show you called 'Bunny Blessing'. This image comes pre-colored and in black and white, and also with several different sentiments. To make my card, I chose to color it myself, so I could match the colors with my new Basic Grey papers 'Eskimo Kisses'. I got this sketch from somewhere, but can't remember where, so if you recognize it, that's why! LOL! The green panel and the main image panel are mounted up on dimensionals. The snowflakes are very sparkly in real life and are pre-cut foam shapes purchased at JoAnn's. Here is a close up of this darling image.

Digital Tuesday Challenge ' A Color Challenge'

Hello, and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's challenge is a color challenge: simply make a card or project with the colors purple, yellow and black and at least one digital image. This week's sponsor is Blackleaf and they are giving away this cute Halloween Set "Trick or Treat Stamps" to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

Well, I love to make Halloween Treat Bags to hand out to the trick or treaters, so I decided to make some clever treat holders to go with my card. I don't have many trick or treaters, because I live in the country, so its possible for me to this! All the images are from the same Halloween Set that the winner will receive. It comes with more fun images than I used too! I made a Card, a Coffin Box, and a Treat Bag. Here is the set all pictured together.
And here is the card. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket "Matilda". I made this Coffin Box using a Martha Stewart template. It was so easy to do and is very sturdy.

I filled the inside with candy corn before tying it shut with Hemp.

And finally, here is a little treat bag. Its just little cellophane bags purchased in the beading department at JoAnn's.

Jordan's High School Scrap Book "Honors Orchestra"

Hello! Today I have another scrap book page that my daughter Ashley did for my son's high school scrapbook. This page shows a major achievement in my son's life: getting into the Wisconsin State Honors Orchestra. In our state, every year auditions are held for exemplary high school musicians to try out to be a part of this orchestra. Over 2,500 students try out for only a hand full of openings. There were only 5 percussionists chosen for the orchestra, and my son was one of the five. Talk about competition! The kids spend about 4 days in Green Bay during the summer practising very difficult music, then in October they meet again in Madison to perform a concert in a majestic auditorium for all the state music teachers and the general public.

Here is the completed page.

Here is a close up of the title. That is ribbon on the left side. Musical designer paper was used for the background.

These images are retired Stampin Up! Stamps.

And this is Jordan at the end of the concert annoyed with his mother's constant picture taking. LOL!

Wink Wink Ink 'Holiday Peace'

Hello! Sorry I've been absent from my own blog and from visiting your blogs for awhile. My life is just out-of-control with business right now. I've been working 40 hours a week which is really a 50 hour work week for me because of the one hour commute, and I had so many projects to work on and appointments to keep this week that I'm at the brink of exhaustion. Yesterday I got home at 9:00 p.m. and just collapsed into bed immediately and fell into a deep, dark sleep for 10 1/2 hours. That shows you how tired I am! I have the day off today, but I'm back to work for the weekend again! Anyway, enough personal stuff, today I have a card to show you that uses a new Wink Wink Ink image called 'Holiday Peace'. I just love the cat and mouse in this image. It reminds me of my own house: filled with mice and a cat who does nothing about it! LOL! A few days ago my husband put a mouse trap on our kitchen counter and within 40 minutes he caught a mouse! That shows you how bad it is. And before you all go and think I am a terrible housekeeper, I assure you my house is immaculate, we just live in a house that's over 100 years old and in the country. There is just no way of keeping those critters out. Ugh, I just realized I went on another tangent. Back to my card. I used a Verve sketch, I colored the image with Copics and added Stickles to the star and adhesive crystals to the tree. The sentiment is up on dimensionals. The paper is Basic Grey 'Jovial Paper Pad'. Here is a close up so you can see all the details betters.

As always, this image comes both in black and white and pre-colored. It was super easy to color because the shading in the tree is already done for you! It also comes with several different sentiments.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Sewing: Real or Faux'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's challenge is 'Sewing: Real or Faux', simply make a card or project that incorporates some type of sewing on your card and at least one digital image. Our sponsor this week is Designed to Delight and they are giving away a $10.00 gift certificate to their store to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Designed 2 Delight digital image 'Love a Latte'. The set comes with several different sentiments, but I wanted to use the image for a Christmas Card, so I created my own sentiment using my computer. I printed the image twice, first on Kraft Card Stock, then on White. I colored the white image out, cut it out, and popped it up on dimensionals. The main image panel is also popped up. I chose to use 'Faux Stitching' on my card, only because I was currently working on a real sewing project and was too lazy to change my thread and bobbin on my sewing machine. LOL! So, I used a white paint pen, and faux stitched around the main image. The paper is Basic Grey 'Jovial Paper Pad'. Here is a close up so you can see the main image and the faux stitching better.

Hello! Today I have a new Wink Wink Ink image to show you called 'Snowbody'. Isn't he a cutie? He comes with several sentiments and a snowflake image (it's the snowflake attached to the ribbon).

To make my card I used a sketch from Torn Paper Blogspot. The paper is DCWV 'The Winter Matstack'. The snowflakes in the upper right corner are foam ones covered with glitter and purchased at JoAnn's Have a great day! Amy

CDAC Challenge

Hello! Wink Wink Ink is hosting a Challenge on the Crafter's Digital Art Center called "Yummy Cards". They are providing this adorable Cupcake Digital Image Set FREE to use. It contains the main cupcake image and several different sentiments that fit neatly inside the picks. The set also comes with a flower, candle, and cherry. You can pick up your free set HERE, then make a card and submit it before October 20th to earn a chance at winning a free digi from Wink Wink Ink.

To make my card I used DCWV 'The Sweet Stack' paper. This card is so much prettier and sparkly in real life. Glitter does not photograph well. All the background paper is glittered, and the frosting on the cupcake has iridescent glitter on it as well. I mounted the main image panel up on dimensionals. The sketch is from "I Love to Stamp". Here is a close up where you can see the glitter better.

I hope you play along with us! Have a great day! Amy

Penny Black 'Colours of Autumn'

I needed a couple of quick, masculine birthday cards so I decided this cute Penny Black Doggie image would fit the bill! I used last week's and this week's Sketches from SCS (SC330 & SC301) and papers from DCWV 'Amber Autumn Fall Stack Collection'. The Penny Black All Sorts Challenge this month is 'Colours of Autumn', but I didn't need any more Fall Cards, so I made birthday cards with Fall Papers instead. LOL!

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Buttons, Ribbons, and Bling!'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week's challenge is 'Buttons, Ribbons, and Bling! Use any or all'. That sounds like an easy challenge right? Simply make a card or project using at least one digital image and have buttons, ribbon, and/or bling on it. Our sponsor this week is 'Fred, She Said' and they are giving away a $20.00 gift certificate to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the 'Fred, She Said' 'Emma the Snow Angel'. I was so drawn to this image because I remember having so much fun making snow angels when I was a little girl. I used a sketch from Verve and papers by Cosmo Cricket. The mitten panel and main image panel are mounted up on dimensionals. I put liquid applique on Emma's hat and boots, and Stickles and Flower Soft on the snow. Here is a close up so you can see the image better.

For my card, I used a brand new Wink Wink Ink image called 'Seasons Tweetings'. I just love this set. It comes with the main image you see below, a Chickadee Border image, and several sentiments. Chickadees are one of my favorite wild birds. I just love how friendly and inquisitive they are.

To make my card I used a sketch from 'I Love to Stamp' and papers from Basic Grey's 'Jovial Paper Pad'. The main image panel is mounted up on dimensionals. I colored the background of the snowman image and the sentiment panel with a Copic Marker. Here is a close up of this sweet image.
