Method overloading:

• Methods have the same name with different parameters. It is used to increase the readability of the program.
• The parameter of the method overloading must be different and the actions it performs inside the class.
• It can’t be performed by modifying return type of the method only. In method overloading the return type can be different or same.
• It is also called as compile time polymorphism.

Example:

Consider the example of method overloading which is given below:

static int sum(int x, int y)

return x + y;

static int sum (int x, int y, int z)

}

}

Possibility of having same method name but different parameter types:

• In the above program the class “A” will perform addition of two numbers using method overloading concept.
