There are many aspects to cost of a programming language. Many different types of costs are linked to a programming language, either directly or indirectly.
- The first is the cost of training the programmers in that particular language. It is normally a function of expertise level of the programmers and the writability of the language.
- Another important criterion is cost of writing codes or development in that language. It mainly depends upon the writ ability of the language.
- Other criterions are the cost of compilation and execution. Both of these costs go in opposite directions.
- Other costs include implementation systems, reliability and the cost of maintenance of the already existing code...
