I don’t understand how I keep getting used hue lights. This is my second order. The first one was also used and the buttons didn’t work. This one just came in and the sticker was loose and you can see marks on the bulbs. They were clearly used.

It's not just the light bulbs that are good, it's the software. Even though other competitors have light bulbs that are on-par or better to the Philips Hue, their software doesn't stand a chance against Philip's software. The hue app is so seamless and easy to use, and everything is set up in just mere minutes! Everything I wanted the hue bulbs to do, the app does it with no problem.

What else can I say. I have tried thousands of dollars worth of bulbs over the years and these Philips Hue bulbs are the absolute best and most reliable ones out there. They were the first brand I tried way way back and the only brand I will use now. They aren’t the brightest or the cheapest but all in all they work extremely well and are always reliable and the colors are excellent. I use them with both Siri and Alexa. The app is great but not really needed once it’s all setup. I use the colored ones in the bedroom and den and set them to various colors depending on mood and music. Just for fun, if you ask for blue, anything you have nearby with fluorescent coloring will glow like they would under a standard black light bulb. Very cool. I really couldn’t imagine living without these bulbs. Again, they aren’t cheap but for me they are worth every penny and they really last. I have some that are at least three years old and still get used every single day. Buy these and take the time to set them up in the app you will not regret it.

After many years of using LED lights with App controlled settings. I can say that by far this is the best product out in the market. It is easy to set up and can work with any router since it has its own dongle to connect to the lights. In addition I have it connected to apple home kit and can allow for voice activation to turn off, dim, change color light. It is amazing and once again a quality product despite the steep cost. If you are looking for a light bulb that is bright and fun to use this is it.

I love this lighting system. It has such a wide range of light colors, so it's easy to find the perfect setting for whatever mood I'm in. Setup was pretty easy, though it did take a few tries for each bulb to be found on the network; it could have been our internet/wifi though. I love being able to control the lights from my phone app, and am looking forward to adding more bulbs to this in other rooms in the house.

The brightness and range of color temperatures are a great addition to any room, enabling a quick change of mood and ambiance. However, Alexa does not integrate well and every time Alexa turns on the lights they turn on to the bare minimum brightness, so you have to do a second voice command to set the brightness to one of your scenes. I wish Alexa could just turn on the lights to the last saved setting instead of 10% brightness. All of the Philips remotes and buttons can set it to the last saved setting.

I understand that most people when they buy a product they have zero issues with it. But there’s always that 1% that will not have the same experience for whatever reason.

I am part of that 1%. For whatever reason my hub stopped working properly within 2-3 months. I couldn’t get access to my hub through the app. And the options the app gave me to fix the issue wouldn’t work. Only option was to reset the hub and app and start all over again. Except even after all that the app wouldn’t identify my hub. I gave up but I did manage to finish the setup maybe 2-4 times within a 4 month span but within a day the hub would just stop working properly.

I eventually reached out to Phillips. They sent me a new hub. And the app still wouldn’t identify the hub. Eventually it did after 3 try’s. But even then I had an issue with the hub not recognizing my bulbs. I had to input their serial number one by one in order for the hub to connect with the bulbs. If that wasn’t bad enough I couldn’t get my hub to connect to the clicker button accessory. The app just wouldn’t connect to it. Frustrated I just closed the app. But when I reopened the app it showed the accessory had connected after all.

Took me 40-50 minutes to get everything working correctly. Finally after 8 months of given up on this hub/bulbs I was able to enjoy what I had spent my hard earned money on. Except it was short lived. About 2 hours after I had finished setting it up the power went out in my house and the hub never returned to its prior state. Now the app can’t communicate with hub and the only option available to get the hub working properly is to rest it to factory settings and do the whole damn set up again.

This by far has to be the worst product experience I have ever had. It’s been so frustrating because it was expensive and there were so many cheaper options. I wish I could get my money back. Try at your own risk.

Amazon had the best bundle I could find. Still way to expensive but the apple home kit connectivity is worth it.

These are a big improvement over others. The glow is bright while delivering soft ambience.

I had issues connecting/updating firmware. Only the hue bridge updated its firmware...
Wasn't plug n play. It was a headach actually.
I only got it working because I'm tech savvy enough to work out the bugs.

Ended up bailing on the phillips hue app all together as it's flawed and created conflict with apple home kit. - Then scanned every single QR code available to get home kit working. (The small one on the packaging inside the box was the only one that let me connect to home kit. That's a joke, ya?)

just imagine someone buying it without original packaging - they'd be unable to connect or at least have great difficulty.

Smart button battery was dead on arrival. Box looks like it had been opened before but nothing appeared used. Lights and hub work well but the button doesn’t seem to stay connected.
