Here is the summary of the 1966 AFL championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills held at War Memorial Stadium in Buffalo, New York. The winner would go on to meet the NFL champion Green Bay Packers in the inaugural AFL-NFL Championship Game in Los Angeles, California. Len Dawson passed for two TDs and Mike Garrett ran for two TDs of his own as the Chiefs prevented the Bills from an unprecedented third consecutive AFL title. It also prevented the Bills from making history as the first team to represent the AFL in what would become known as the Super Bowl.
