This short explores an experience many of us have lived before: a fleeting yet powerful connection with a perfect stranger

What happens in that moment when you capture the eye of a complete stranger? In a fraction of second, it seems like the shields that separate the two of you are down; and you’re looking directly into the being of the other. Taking just such a moment and expanding what that might look like into a three and a half minute short film is exactly what Arev Manoukian did with Nuit Blanche. As a result, he won top honours at LG’s inaugural Life’s Good FilmFest. Set in a dark cobblestone street in the 1950’s, the man catches the gaze of a woman in a cafe across the street. This split-second moment becomes suspended in time, as the two gravitate towards each other in a hyper real fantasy where nothing can hold them back.div.overlay { width:1040px; height:580px; } #imgplay { margin:68px 0px 0px 190px; } #player { background:no-repeat url('/videos/news/2010/february/nuit.jpg') top center; } #splash, #player, #player embed, #player object { width:560px; height:300px;
