Economic Impact of the Twentieth National Congress
The 20th session of China’s most important National Congress has been successfully completed. China is actually going through a period similar to what it saw during the founding of new China. At that time, there was a question as to which path would be appropriate for China to take so that the Chinese citizens could live a developed life while making the backward life a part of the past. Now the question of today is the economic success that China has achieved. How to maintain the continuity of these achievements and for the purpose of maintaining this continuity, it was necessary to maintain the continuity of leadership in China so that the affairs could be completed more amicably.
President Xi has clearly mentioned the points in his report and speech at the Twentieth National Congress. Those points are not only of great importance to the Chinese people, but the President has also expressed his intention to bring the fruits of China’s economic success to the nations of the world, which are still completely or a large part of them in a backward life and they are forced to spend poor grade life. My reference is to the fact that he has presented the theory of a formation of the human nation that has a common future, i.e., that will bring about such economic activities that will lead to the welfare of all humanity and their standards. It shows his determination to raise the life of poor nations from the inhuman level to the human level.
It is an irrefutable fact even today that no country or any economic bloc in the world is capable of dealing with the threats facing humanity alone. That is why President Xi has presented the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind. It should be remembered that he has achieved success in the war against poverty in his power and has presented a role model in this regard to the world.
While addressing the 20th National Congress, he has presented the theory of common prosperity, which means wealth should not be limited to a few hands, but the fruits of this wealth can be obtained by all sections of the society and the oppressed sections of the society should be a thing of the past. President Xi has further promoted the idea in China that whatever happens at the state level should be under the people-centered concept. After the success of this concept, presenting the concept of a common future means that China is aware of its global responsibilities and wants to fulfill these responsibilities together with the world.
It is clear in President Xi’s thinking that in order to tackle the challenges facing humanity, he believes based on his experience that if there is an improvement in governance in the world, then there will be an improvement in thinking. It is also a clear fact in front of us that unlike other major powers of the world, China is not only giving good speeches on this subject, but its leadership has already come into action to implement it.
It is important to mention three programs in this regard. BRI is a project that is rapidly moving towards tying different nations in economic ties around the world. Our beloved Pakistan is also benefiting from BRI’s CPEC project, while there is still a lot to be achieved in this regard. Similarly, we can mention Global Development Initiative (GDI), which is playing its active role in the development of the world in different ways. Global Security Initiative(GSI) is also an example in front of the world in this regard.
Along with these three programs, if we look at China’s positive role in BRICS and SCO, it will be clear that the Chinese leadership does not just make words but actually stands by its words and also guards it. The results of the 20th National Congress show that China will continue to fulfil its global responsibilities while taking the world along on the same basis.
