Decided on a new project!
I'm going to start Chatelaine's Chinese Garden Mandala! :) I am going to do a modified version though due partly because I do not have a piece of fabric big enough to stitch the entire piece. Plus it will save on framing costs too. I'm still recovering from having Beaded Dragonfly Tile framed a few months ago, LOL!!! I have all of the threads to stitch up the first two parts of the Chinese Garden. So as soon as I get my fabric ironed, I am going to start stitching. Stayed tuned for WIP pics! :)

I need to start stitching again!
Our moving plans have changed. I was hoping to move by November 1. I had a really cute apartment picked out. I had even started packing. As of yesterday, that's all changed. The condensed version is that we are staying in this house until this time next year. I'm quite disappointed and I guess I start unpacking.
I really need to start stitching again, especially since DH has a work trip coming up. I need something to keep me busy. DH has hockey tonight, so I think I am going to drag out all of my stitching stuff and see if something catches my interest. I'm hope my next post will have some actual stitching to share!

First Post of July
I haven't done any stitching since my last post. I've been busy planting flowers in the backyard instead. :) I did redo the house pattern I made though. It was too big, so I shrunk it down some.
Not much has been going on. It's summer and it's hot. I'm kind of inspired to do another house pattern, so I think I might start working on that. We've decided to start the house buying process once my DH comes back from a work trip planned later this summer. I've been looking at some very cute houses online, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be able to find something we love when we are ready. I've also been planning our homeschooling year. I'm excited to start at the beginning on the school year this time. I'm so excited about school this year that I ordered myself a homeschool planner for my birthday next week, LOL! It's the only thing I really wanted. I'm so weird!
Since I have no stitch pics to share, I will just leave you with a few pics that I took from our walk with the dog the other day:

Playing around with the pattern maker again
I live in a town with many homes that are over 100 years old. The house we are renting was built in 1901 and was one of the first homes built in this neighborhood. There are so many beautiful homes with stories here. Unfortunately, developers are buying up all the old homes when people put them up for sale. They have been tearing down the homes to put up mini mansions. :( A few days ago, they tore down a gorgeous house that was built in 1901. I am so heartbroken it was tore down! It was one of my favorite houses in the neighborhood.
To make myself feel better, I decided to make a pattern based off the house that is now just a giant heap of rubble.
Here is the pattern I made:

I have to stitch up a baby sampler for my newest great-nephew that was born last week. After I finish that project, I will get to work on this one.
