Christmas Kickstart Challenge #94 - Bring the Baubles

It's 2025,  and a new Christmas Kickstart Challenge is calling. I'm delighted to be kicking-off  another year of Christmas cardmaking with the very talented Julia Aston as our first elf of the New Year!

Our theme is:
Challenge #94 - Bring the Baubles

We want to see baubles/ornaments on your cards for the whole of January and you will LOVE Julia's sweet inspiration card, so please drop by and take a look!

Here's what I made:

It took three attempts to get something that felt right for this one. I kept changing my mind on the size/style of the bauble. I'm glad I finally settled on this sweet ornament from the Sizzix set Funky Baubles. I think it works well in combination with one of my my fave die cuts Noel from Penny Black.

Rudolph has a lovely prize for our first challenge of 2025!

Guest Elf Julia and I can't wait to see what you create!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #258 - N is for NBUS

The Sistahs are breaking-out some of their sparkly, new crafty goodies or unused stash, and would like you to come and join the fun!

My NBUS card features new-2-me Newton's Nook Newton Unwinds and a sweet plaid embossing folder that seems to have escaped it's packaging.

Sadly, I'm snark-free for this card, but thankfully the Sisterhood and our fabulous Guest Queen Fran have got that sorted for us over on the main blog

The Card Chain Challenge Reveal - December 2024

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Over at The Card Chain Challenge we've now exchanged 4,523 cards by participants from 41 of the 50 United States and 33 countries. It's not that we're looking for World domination or anything!

Exciting news!
This month the Card Chain Challenge was again generously sponsored by

Relatively Thoughtful

Check their website for free gifts.

Our now traditional December 'twist' is to play
GAIL's FIENDISHLY FESTIVE TIC TAC TOE

Here's my card for the challenge. I've gone across the grid on the second row down.

I used this lovely image from Concord and 9th called Merry Mantle Stamp Set. I substituted the dotty sock and popped it up to include 'spots'. The 'Sassy' sentiment is from The Ink Road, who are taking a brief pause at the moment.

My card flew across the globe to Tina in Slovenia and just look what lovely Gail in Canada sent me:

Happy New Year to you all, and why not make 2025 the year that YOU come and play along at The Card Chain Challenge???

Merry Christmas Challenge

It's January 1st - So I'll send Happy New Year greetings to all my Cardland buddies!

And what a fabby way to start 2025 as we open a new year of inspiration over at Merry Little Challenge Blog with a sweet little Anything Christmas Goes Challenge.

I spotted this gorgeous stamp and sentiment set from Uniko a little while back and knew I had to buy it. Isn't it pretty, and oh, so versatile too. I love the two examples that Beverley made and may have to give the glittery, sparkly version a try. How lovely that you can also use this set for a Diwali card too. Nice!

We're having a change of 'leader' over at MLCC, and so, as she steps down, I'd like to thanks lovely Leslie for all her hard work and encouragement. We're now going to be in the very capable hands of Tina and I'm sure you'll all join in wishing her all the very best in her new role!
