Hi again, I am still busy scrapping the pages for my grandchildren's favourites from the end of November last year. One of the hard parts is sometimes deciding on a colour theme for the page. My third grand daughter's favourite colour is orange, now what do you pair with orange, I asked myself? Do a little research and found the colour dare has another fun tic tac toe board, using the colours from our paper pack 'Gimme some sugar', what fun colours!
We can choose to go horizontal, vertical or diagonal with our colour choices. Since tangerine is in one of the squares, I choose to do the horizontal line with that colour using Linen, Tangerine and Bashful, our colour of the year. This is what I came up with:
She wrote so many things down, I had to use flip-flaps on the page protector to hold them all. On the layout, I used the Bashful cardstock for my base, then stamped some background stamps in the tangerine ink onto strips of the linen cardstock. The main picture I framed with the tangerine cardstock showing both shades with the split frame.
Here are a few closeups of some of the details.

Wonderful layout! I love that you had her write down her thoughts and included them in the layout. Thanks for sharing at Color My Heart.
ReplyDeleteYour layout turned out great, Arlene! I like how you used both sides of the Tangerine cardstock to frame your focal picture and how you stamped the border pieces. Thank you for sharing with us at Color My Heart Color Dare!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun scrapbook...it will be fun for them to look back and see what their favorites were. Tangerine is such a fun color!
ReplyDeleteWe often played "Favorites" on Birthdays and then compared them from previous years. Some couldn't believe their last year's favorite ... a lot of fun and great that you have included them on your layout. Thanks for joining us at Color Dare this past week and hope you join us for future color challenges.
