We open on an off-white screen with an angled hero shot of a Pixel 8 Hazel rotating beneath a full-width Google Pixel 8 title.
Title: Google Pixel 8
Music: A punchy, up-tempo soundtrack accompanies the ad.
A wide shot appears of an old-fashioned horse carousel at dusk, with a city skyline in the background. A family of four approaches the carousel entry point.

A photo appears of the mum, dad and two sons on board the carousel. The dad has been captured looking down, while both sons have silly expressions on their faces.
As the Best Take title and icon appear, one son’s head animates with a pulse of colour, and is instantly replaced by his smiling face from a different shot. The same happens for
the dad’s downturned face.
We then cut to a closeup of the Best Take mode on screen, with the woman selecting a better take for her other son from the three options available.

We jump back to the original photo, and the son’s head is replaced by the one selected by his Mum - with the resulting photo now showing four smiling faces.
We now see outdoor selfie footage of a man in a park, positioning his Pixel 8 to frame him and his cello. As he begins to play the music pauses, and the sound of a nearby emergency siren cuts through the audio of his cello. An Audio Magic Eraser title and icon appear, and the video pulls in towards his fingers on the strings.
Title: Audio Magic Eraser
We then see a closeup of his hand and the phone screen, showing his footage along with recorded audio soundwaves in blue and grey tones. His finger selects the Noise button, and as he drags the slider to the left the glowing blue soundwaves decrease. The playback indicates that the siren noise has been removed from the footage.

The scene ends as the viewpoint rises above his Pixel 8 Hazel with him in the background, finishing his composition with a flourish of the bow.
We cut to an off-white background with a fast zoom into the camera bar of a Pixel 8 Hazel.
The video pulls deep into the camera lens as the Astrophotography title and icon appear, and then emerges to reveal night time footage of someone silhouetted atop a rock with a body of water in the background, her head and shoulders backlit by the moon obscured behind her.
The stars in the dark sky above shift ever so slightly sideways, suggesting a timelapse has been taken – and a distant plane’s blinking light moves from left to right.
We then cut to a macro photo of a black and white butterfly on a gravel surface. The Macro Focus title and icon appear, and then the view jumps in even closer, revealing the
amazing detail captured.
We then see a charcoal background, with an animated symmetrical figure accompanied by a Safety Check title and icon, an incomplete love heart, and line drawings of a building, mountain and car. The love heart animates to completion as we zoom in, and the figure places hands on hips.
Title: Safety Check
The scene changes to a front view of a Pixel 8 showing Personal Safety features.
It cuts sharply to a closeup of the Safety Check app, with a countdown showing 29m58s and a 10:30pm Check In time. The UI then switches to a 60 second circular countdown with an I’m OK button and a green tick icon. The UI enlarges as the green expands to fill the entire button.

The scene cuts to an off-white screen with an animated title.
Title: Pixel. The only phone engineered by Google
The opening scene then reappears – an off-white screen with an angled hero shot of a Pixel
8 rotating beneath a full-width Google Pixel 8 title.
Title: Google Pixel 8
The screen cuts to white, pulling out on a Google G logo filled with a soft multi colour gradient, which then forms a standard Google G logo as the ad ends.
