Miss Molly

ww1 grape - Copy
February Challenge is: Grape
This page is of our beautiful little Molly pug who is no longer with us.  The grape colour reminded me of her for it was the colour of her collar and lead.
Had fun with this page using smooch spritz for the background. Paint on canvas for the little heart tags and some beading wire for the butterflies, I even got out the sewing machine for a bit of stitching.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my page.

You Are Awesome!

Scrap The Girls: OUR FEBRUARY CHALLENGE IS A PHOTO PROMPT!

Interpret this prompt however you like! (Source:Pinterest)

This page is of my daughter Kate who entered her first school swimming carnival this year. She went in the 25m freestyle race. She might not of officially won the race but in every ones eyes she won that race by simply getting into the pool and having a go at something she had never done before. She was so excited to get a ribbon.
I took the pattern  and different colours of the lego block wall as my inspiration. I used a TCW mini baubles mask on photo paper and with various stamp inks created this patterned paper. Use the mask  again down the bottom with a mixture of gesso and texture paste. The very cute octopus and rainbow were made by Chantal Vandenberg @  http://www.etsy.com/au/shop/byChantalVandenberg  and the swim fast cherry flair button from   http://www.apieceofcakedesigns.com.au/.

The Story of Isabella

White with 1: January Challenge

ww1 tangerine
Here is another challenge site/blog that I have never attempted before, the Design Teams pages and all the other entries are so inspiring just had to give it a go. Have not done a heritage page for a while and I thought the tangerine would go well with an old photo. The photo/page is of my great grandmother Isabella,  never meet her but living on a farm in the country in the early 1900's with seven children must have taken a very strong woman. The size of the photo is how I found it, very different to other portraits I have seen. Have used Trinket Track  http://www.thetrinkettrack.com/  resin cameo and flower and the silver frame.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page.

Cherry Time

Kraft IT Up - January Challenge

You also need to use the following: SUMMER THEMED PHOTO * WASHI OR SIMILAR * A NUMBER
This is the first time that I have entered into a Kraft IT Up Challenge. Great page map, and use of a summer theme, washi and a number made it all very appealing. I did turn the sketch anti clockwise once. Have used numbers and the washi tape is the aqua chevron.
The page is of us cherry picking in the Adelaide Hills December 2012, before we left Adelaide for Sydney. It was a very hot day but it was worth it to taste and take home the delicious cherries. Bought some cherries at the store this year, how disappointing, will just have to get back to Adelaide for the next summer harvest...

Thank you so much for visiting my page.

Something new in my little mans' life is his Furby which he got for Christmas. He loves it, talks to it, plays with it and puts it to bed at night. In this picture he has even put it in on of his Tshirts.

Art Lovers

1st January Stuck Sketch!

Another great sketch from Stuck Sketches to work with. I have turned  it once right to fit in 3 portrait photos I have of Liam and Kate when we visited the NSW Art Gallery. If you are unable to read it the quote says: "It is not what you look at it is what you see." - Henry David Thoreau
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page.

Zombie

Purple Pumpkin January 2014 Sketch Challenge

 January sketch
Have created a page based this wonderful Lizzie Hill sketch. I have however rotated once left, to use a portrait photo of Kate that has been waiting to be scrapped for more than a year now. This photo was taken at Kate's end of year dance concert in Adelaide where her group were all dressed as zombies and danced to Michael Jackson's Thriller. They were fantastic!
Have used Purple Pumpkin, twine, ticket and a Satin Black and White flower and put a fabric skull button in the middle.

Happy New Year to all and thank you for taking the time to look at my page.
